Welcome Pam!

We have added a new Nail Technician to our growing Harris Russo Family. She is currently available on Tuesdays from 11-9 and Fridays from 9-1. We are launching a New Birthday Promotion! Starting in August, choose one day during the month of your birthday to receive $5 off your favorite Massage, Facial, Body Wrap/Scrub, Pedicure or Gelish Manicure!

Once we have everything sorted out, we'll be sending a birthday reminder email during the month of your birthday. So make sure we have your email on file! It's going to take us some time to sort everyone who already is on our list and put them into the correct months. Sidewalk Sale Success!

Did you have the opportunity to visit us for our Sidewalk Sale this past weekend? The weather was beautiful both Thursday and Friday, although Saturday was a little hot. We saw lots of great booths and deals around downtown. Hopefully you found a few gems!

Holiday Collection 2011!

Are you thinking about the Holidays yet? There are only approximately 214 days left! Well, Up and coming this November(ish) will be OPI's Holiday Collection and is it gorgeous! The Theme? The Muppets to coincide with their new Movie. Now while I'm not overly fond of the Muppets, I am VERY excited about their Holiday collection. It looks like it will be similar to this years Burlesque, with half of the collection being beautiful glitters and the other being shimmers. Here's what we're looking at:

Newest Gelish Colors!

The colors are slowing rolling in! Within the next week, you can expect 4 New Gelish colors in addition to the option for a French! Choose from:

Up & Coming May Part 3: China Glaze Crackle

Are you a fan of the shatter craze? We hope so, because our third and Final new release for May is China Glaze Crackle. Crackle is just like OPI's Shatter, but by China Glaze, another popular Nail company.


Colors that will be available include:
Lightening Bolt - White
Crackled Concrete - Grey
Black Mesh - Black
Crushed Candy - Blue/Green
Broken Heart - Pink
Fault Line - Purple

They were originally released at limited supply stores (Sally's Beauty, ect.) but they sold so quickly, they are now going to be available more widespread. Including Harris Russo Spa!

Our personal favorite here at the Spa is Fault Line. It's a gorgeous iridescent like purple and seems to look wonderful with any color it is paired with. Remember, you can pair these Crackles with any other nail polish underneath, any brand.

With the addition of so many colors, there has been some playing around with using different colored shatter on the same hand. For example, using both the above examples of Black Mesh and Lightening Bolt. It adds an additional interesting affect to your nails.

We will be receiving the Crackle May 10th!

Up & Coming May Part 2: Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is being released on May 20. What better way to celebrate then a new OPI line? Pick your favorite and wear it to the movie premiere!

This limited edition collection is showing us more of this Spring's hottest trend: softer colors. And wait...is that what we think it is on the end?!

You bet, another new OPI Shatter, and this one looks fabulous. OPI is releasing a new SILVER shatter. Same idea as the black shatter we know and love, but with a new twist. Layer it over any of the Pirates line, or on top of any of your favorite nail polishes!

Make sure to visit in early May, this are going to be going fast!

Gelish!

We are proud to add a highly anticipated new service to our selection. Starting Friday, April 22nd, we will be offering Gelish Manicures!

Hand & Nail Harmony Gelish is a soak off gel that works like a polish, only better! It is hardened under a UV light like a gel and lasts for 3+ weeks with no chipping or peeling. Gelish is not detrimental to your natural nails because it doesn't require any buffing of the natural nail. Gelish soaks off 3 times faster then other gel polishes with acetone.

How does Gelish compare to others?
According to a spa in LA, "It is thinner and stronger, longer lasting, chips less, and is easier to remove, with less damage to your nails the OPI Axxium."

Shellac seems to be a popular one around here, but Shellac only promises a 2 week manicure, while Gelish promises a 3 week! Gelish has also shown less chips and wear and comes in many more colors then Shellac.

Are you convinced yet? On top of it all, the manicure is instantly set and dry. No more worrying about smudging your nails after they're done.

April is almost here! That means Spring weather (hopefully), Pedicures and Easter Candy! Spa Coordinator Jen and Nail Tech Erin are BIG Easter Candy fans. Peeps, Cadbury Eggs, Sweetheart Chicks, Ducks and Bunnies and Cheap Gum! Hurray!

It's spring and that means Pedicure Season! With that also comes a slew of new Nail Polish releases. We've put in our orders and are waiting patiently for all that is coming. Here's what you can look forward to:

Femme De Cirque - April 1st


Light pastel like colors are all the rage this Spring and Summer season and we're starting it off right. This collection has 3 sheer colors and one with a slight shimmer. They are feminine and flattering on most skin colors.

I am most excited about I Juggle Men, the sparkle/shimmer is absolutely gorgeous. Charlie from Lady of the Lane put I Juggle Men on top of black and I love it! I definitely plan on trying that.

Our First Post!

Greetings! We here at Harris Russo Salon & Spa are incredibly excited to write our very first post. It is here where you will find out about new products, services, events, pricing specials, and even contests! We are a full-service day spa and salon here in downtown Rochester. We are located within the Rochester Athletic Club, but don't worry, you do NOT have to be a member to come and visit us. In fact, we'd love to meet you, especially if you are not a member of the gym!
